State of the art lab testing has become so affordable today that is a disservice to clients to not utilize it in clinical practice, given how much it can speed up the process of resolving health issues and optimizing the body’s functioning. While our initial health assessment is comprehensive (and quick and easy for the client to complete), there are subtle metabolic imbalances that only lab equipment can discover.

Most of the functional lab tests we order for clients are shipped direct to the client’s door, collected conveniently at home, and picked up by courier. The process is simple and allows us to glean insights into a person’s metabolism that are difficult or impossible to detect with the “naked eye”.

Detecting imbalances early is crucial if we are to stop the harmful processes that are aging us prematurely and contributing to future health problems.

Below are the main tests we use. In specific situations we may recommend others, but the following cover the most important areas:

    • Energy production
    • Nutrient deficiencies
    • Detoxification capacity / toxicity / antioxidant status
    • Gut microbiome and digestive function
    • Food reactivity and inflammation

Metabolomics Test

The Metabolimx+ test helps us evaluate:

    • Comprehensive nutritional analysis
    • Identification of oxidative stress levels
    • Assessment of mitochondrial function (energy production)
    • Evaluation of gut health
    • Insight into detoxification pathways
    • Neurotransmitter balance

Food Reactivity Test

This is not a run-of-the-mill IgG food sensitivity test. The lab we use take the blood and expose it to the foods and chemicals in the food supply, and then measure the blood’s release of various inflammatory chemicals such as histamine, prostaglandins, etc.

Stool Testing for Gut Dysbiosis

The GI-MAP helps us identify overgrowth of inflammatory bacteria and evaluate digestive health and the levels of the regular microbial species. It can also detect common pathogenic organisms including bacteria, parasites, protozoa, and yeast. With this data, instead of guessing and trying various interventions, we know exactly what a client needs to do to restore balance in their gut ecology.
